3 Headwear Trends You’ll Be Crushing Over This Winter

Headwear took a back seat in the fashion field for a number of years, but thank god it is back, and better than ever, may I add?  I love how a simple addition to the top of an ensemble can pull the entire outfit together. So what statement headwear pieces do you need for this winter? Keep reading to find out!

1.Fiddler Cap

The fiddler cap is the statement hat of the season. When paired with an edgy tee and some vintage jeans, you’ll have heads turning as you walk down the street. My favourite one this season is the Brixton Fiddler Cap ,mainly because it comes in so many different sizes. Brixton also aim to make lifelong quality products, making it sustainable too. these caps were synonymous with rock legends John lennon and Bob Dylan in the 60's. That being said you will never have to worry about this style choice BECAUSE the fiddler cap has everlasting streetcred.

2.  Silk Headscarfs

This trend is perfect for that next big event or music festival you have lined up. By tying your hair back with a vintage headscarf, you’ll not only dress up any outfit, but be able to turn a bad hair day into a salon styled hairdo. I have been in love with Lush's knot-wraps forever. these wraps are made from recycled plastic bottles, making them not only a stylish headwear piece but a great alternative to wrapping paper or carrier bags. The best news is they retail in a variety of vintage inspired designs for uner $10.

Lush call it knot-wrap; the Japanese call it furoshiki; let's call the whole thing a genius way to be a sustainable fashionista. visit their blog for more knot wrap inspiration.

3. Berets

Finally, my third favourite for winter is a classic beret. My personal favourite is this latte number from Queensland brand Lack of Color. No longer are berets for the french or mimes, this accessory is the perfect addition for winter.
